Col. Scott Dennis, 388th Fighter Wing commander, addressed the wing during the 388th FW assumption of command ceremony July 30 in Hangar 37. Col. Dennis spent a year as commander of the 332nd Expeditionary Operations Group at Balad Air Base, Iraq, before his assignment with the wing.

The 4th Aircraft Maintenance Unit won the 3rd quarter Load Crew of the Quarter competition held July 13 in Hangar 37. The crew, who include Staff Sgt. Gil Weisbaum, Senior Airman Daniel Larson and Senior Airman Hunter Pettit, were evaluated in five different categories and had 25 minutes to comlete the load. Winning crews receive a plaque, a one-day pass and a traveling trophy.
