HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Maj. Cahn Wadhams took command of the 388th Maintenance Squadron during a ceremony here today.

Wadhams, originally from Lakewood, Col.,  previously commanded the 4th Fighter Generation Squadron here since June 2022.

As commander, he will be responsible for the training, morale, and welfare of 350 Airmen who perform equipment maintenance for 78 combat-coded F-35A Lightning IIs. The 388th MXS is also Air Combat Command's only F-110 engine Centralized Repair Facility in order to conduct wartime operations.

Wadhams takes over for Lt. Col. Richard Palz, who aside from a year-long stint in Korea, has been helping lead the F-35 maintenance mission at Hill Air Force Base since the first squadron stood up in 2015.
