HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah --
Nearly 120 active-duty Airmen from the 388th Fighter Wing returned to base today from a six-month deployment to Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea.
The pilots and maintenance and support crews had been in South Korea since early October providing F-16 air support in the region as part of a routine U.S. Pacific Command's Theater Security Package rotation. Fighter units across the Air Force routinely augment the 8th FW there to maintain a balance of forces and deter aggression from the north.
The jets, pilots and about 25 support and maintenance Airmen will return later in the week.
