388th FW welcomes new command chief

The 388th Fighter Wing welcomed a new command chief here Wednesday.

Command Chief Master Sgt. Daniel McGuire will serve as the enlisted advisor to the commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness and morale of the wing's enlisted force. As the highest enlisted leader in the wing, he'll also provide direction for the enlisted force and represent their interests across Hill AFB and throughout the local community.

"I am honored to serve along-side the Airmen of the 388th Fighter Wing and look forward to continuing the excellence and determination the Wing works so hard at," said McGuire.

McGuire is a native of Youngstown, Ohio, and entered the Air Force in 1987. He has an extensive background in transportation and logistics. McGuire has served at various locations worldwide including Germany, South Korea, The United Kingdom, Louisiana, Nevada, Washington, D.C., and Florida.

McGuire deployed supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Prior to assuming his current position, McGuire served as the superintendent at the 423rd Air Base Group, Royal Air Force Alconbury, United Kingdom.
