HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- With the inability for individuals to gather together for worship, the Hill Air Force Base Chapel is looking at alternative methods for sharing its messages of faith, hope and encouragement.
“Although we are not currently able to gather together due to COVID-19, we consider it vital to continue our worship and maintain community, especially during this uncertain time,” said Chaplain (Capt.) Gabriel Lawson. “Community fosters hope and inspiration, and Hill AFB Chapel will continue to provide inspirational and soul-strengthening resources to boost the spirit.”
The base chaplains will be using online platforms to share their messages.
Chaplain Lawson, who leads the Protestant worship service, will be posting a sermon, music selections, and children’s ministry resources on Sunday mornings on the Legacy Chapel’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.
Father Max Omana, who leads the Catholic worship service, will be providing pre-recorded or live stream Mass Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. on its Facebook page.
The base chaplains will also be posting encouraging content regularly throughout the coming weeks on its social media platforms.
