Master Sergeant Leonard F. Buscemi

Master Sergeant Leonard F. Buscemi is the Superintendent of the F-35A Demonstration Team, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. A native of Macomb County, Mich., Sergeant Buscemi entered the Air Force in July 2012 and has served in a variety of roles as a fifth-generation tactical aircraft maintenance professional, including as a Dedicated Crew Chief and Section Chief.

In his current role, he advises the pilot and Team Commander on all issues impacting the mission effectiveness, morale, and readiness for 14 personnel across five different Air Force Specialty Codes. Sergeant Buscemi has deployed five times in support of Operations NOBLE EAGLE, INHERENT RESOLVE, SPARTAN SHIELD, and ATLANTIC RESOLVE. Prior to his current position, Sergeant Buscemi was the Crashed, Damaged, and Disabled Aircraft Recovery Section Chief for the 388th Maintenance Squadron, Hill AFB, Utah.
