Col. Charles A. Fallon is the commander, 388th Fighter Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The wing's mission is to "Deliver F-35 dominance...anytime, anywhere." The wing maintains combat readiness to deploy, employ, and sustain F-35s worldwide, in order to fly, fight and win any conflict. Col. Gette is responsible for the readiness, training, morale, and welfare of more than 2,000 personnel who maintain and operate F-35A aircraft across ten squadrons. Additionally, he provides operational oversight and direction for nearly 450 reserve maintainers and operators in the 419th Fighter Wing. He is also responsible for the Utah Test and Training Range, a 3.2-million-acre jewel in Utah’s west desert that provides operational test and evaluation of weapons requiring a large safety footprint.
Col. Fallon received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy in 2003. He has previously served as Commander of the 55th Fighter Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. and in a variety of positions including Chief, Senior Leader Management, Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va. and Director of Operations for the F-16 Weapons Instructor Course at the United States Air Force Weapons School, Nellis AFB, Nev. Prior to his current position, the colonel was the Commandant of the United States Air Force Weapons School at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev.
Col. Fallon is a command pilot with more than 2,800 total flying hours including more than 616 combat flight hours.
