Staff Sergeant Zachary J. Rufus is a Public Affairs Specialist for the F-35A Demonstration Team, 388th Fighter Wing, Hill Air Force Base, Utah. A native of DeSoto, Texas, Sergeant Rufus entered the Air Force in August 2019. In his role, he communicates the mission and strategic importance of the Air Force’s fifth-generation stealth fighter to domestic and international audiences. He brings extensive experience in photography, videography, and media relations, and his work directly supports senior leader messaging and strengthens public understanding of Air Force operations. Prior to his current position, Sergeant Rufus was a Public Affairs Journeyman assigned to the 57th Wing, Nellis AFB, Nev.
